Getting Started

How do I log my first prayer?

Navigate to the Prayer tab, tap "Start Prayer" to begin. You can pray silently or aloud while the timer tracks your prayer time. When finished, tap "End Prayer" and it will automatically be saved to your journal.

What are prayer cards?

Prayer cards appear during your prayer time to provide guided prompts and inspiration. Swipe left or right to view different cards with topics and themes to help focus your prayers.

How does voice transcription work?

When you start a prayer, PrayerWise uses live voice transcription to capture your spoken prayers. The transcription happens in real-time on your device and is stored locally, ensuring complete privacy.

Can I edit my prayers after recording?

Yes! Go to your Journal, select any prayer entry, and you can edit the text or add notes to your prayer.

How do I manage my prayer cards?

Visit the Cards tab to create, edit, or delete your custom prayer cards. You can organize them by dragging to reorder and customize the content to match your prayer needs.

Does PrayerWise work offline?

Yes! PrayerWise is designed to work completely offline. All your prayers, cards, and data are stored locally on your device. No internet connection is required.

Privacy & Security

Are my prayers private?

Absolutely. All your prayers are stored locally on your device only. Nothing is uploaded to the cloud or shared with servers. Your spiritual journey remains completely private.

Can I delete my data?

Yes, you can delete individual prayers from your Journal at any time. To clear all data, you can uninstall and reinstall the app.

What permissions does the app need?

PrayerWise requires microphone access for voice transcription during prayers. All transcription happens on your device and nothing is sent to external servers.

Troubleshooting

Voice transcription isn't working

Ensure you've granted microphone permissions to PrayerWise. Check your device settings under Privacy → Microphone, and make sure PrayerWise is enabled. Try restarting the app if needed.

My prayers aren't saving

Check that your device has sufficient storage space. Prayer entries are stored on your device, so available storage is required for new entries.

The app is running slowly

Try closing and reopening the app. If you have a large prayer history, consider archiving or deleting older entries to improve performance.
